Once upon a time, before smartphones and Google, humans called telephone operators or used phonebooks to find the contact information for a person or business-and many by means of a corded phone with a rotary dial, no less.

DNS, the Operator of the 21st Century

Fast forward to present day. The majority of people use the internet to search for people and businesses. Of course, with the insane amount of web pages online (more than 6 billion of them), it’d be nearly impossible for human operators to handle this volume of traffic.

If you’re okay with that, this blog is not for you-stop reading and move on to something…more your pace.

But, if you want to give your site a competitive edge, rev that brilliant mental engine of yours and get ready for the green light in three, two, one…

You may have read the title of this blog and thought to yourself, “That makes no sense. How can DNS be the MVP of Super Bowl 2021?” Aside from the fact that it hasn’t happened yet, it actually does make sense. A lot of sense.

Next to the Thanksgiving holidays and Cyber Monday, the Super Bowl generates the largest amount of online traffic each year. And with a global pandemic thrown into the mix, online activity and the demand for streaming will increase exponentially for Super Bowl 2021. In fact, last year’s Super Bowl saw a 23% increase in streaming-about…

Hi there! In this article, you’re going to learn how you can use the DNS to manage your multi-cloud implementations. We’ll be using Constellix’s very own multi-cloud management solution, that we call Traffic Steering.

A horde of zombies is about to overtake you. You have no weapon, no food or water, and you have no backup. You have three options. First choice: Just give up and accept that you’re about to join the ranks of the walking dead (or that there won’t be enough left of you to matter). Second choice: Hole up in a fortified building that only has one way in or out and hope they don’t break down the door (and you don’t starve to death). …

Are we learning from the past? At what point should others take accountability for their actions? When do we stop the cycle that has failed us and try a new approach?

The move to the cloud started back in 2006. That was when AWS first started offering IT infrastructure services to other businesses. Over the ten years that followed, it was a prominent strategy for companies to continue this “move to the cloud” shift.
